At The Mulberry Bush Day Nursery we are proud of our warm friendly, qualified and experienced staff who provide excellent care for all the children. The priority of the setting is the happiness and the welfare of the children. We would like the children to experience an environment that promotes equality regardless of gender, ethnic origin, social circumstances or religious beliefs. Recent studies in child development have shown that children learn through play and that they will develop best when they are happy. We aim to give the children the freedom to make their own choices in order to develop their independence and self-confidence. We aim to provide a safe and secure environment with stimulating activities that will challenge the children both physically and mentally. We believe that we can work with parents in a complimentary way to facilitate the development of all children as individuals. We want the children to develop their independence in order to prepare them for their future. We hope that when the children leave us and go on to school, they can make the most of the opportunities the school has to offer.
The Mulberry Bush Day Nursery was first established in 1990 By Liz Sread and has recently changed hands in February 2015 when Liz retired. At the Mulberry Bush we provide an exciting and stimulating learning environment for children aged 0-11years. The planning and assessment implemented at The Mulberry Bush follows the Early Years Foundation Stage, which is often referred to as the EYFS. Our standards are exceptionally high and we work very hard to provide the perfect service for all our familes. We are extremely proud of our GOOD Ofsted rating received in 2016 and we are now aiming for an even better result next time. The inspector was very happy with all aspects of the Nursery and our commitment to continue to aim high and develop further.
