The Ladybird group is for children aged 0-2 years where the children have the use of two rooms which both have individual outdoor play areas. There is a designated sleep room where the children can have uninterrupted quiet time and rest when they need it. This room is monitored using a video monitor, and is also checked regularly by the practitioners. The rooms are well resourced with age appropriate toys and equipment and the staff use these to provide activities to support the children’s learning and development. This is where the children’s learning journey begins and they are allocated a key worker who will work closely with them and record their development in a learning journey file. This file follows your child through the nursery as they move from room to room and in each room they will have a new key worker.
