Our School's Out clubs are run specifically for children in the 4-12 age range, and operate from purpose-built premises in the grounds of our day nurseries at Ashbourne and Belper.

The clubs both have separate staff, who enjoy working with the older age range, and who are qualified and experienced at working with this age range.

During term times, the breakfast clubs are open from 7.30 a.m. to 8.45 a.m. Children can have their breakfast at the clubs if required, and our staff will then take them to school for 9.00 a.m. in one of our minibuses or other licensed vehicles.

We run after-school clubs during term times, from 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. Our staff will collect children from their schools and take them back to the clubs, where they can enjoy a range of indoor and outdoor activities until home time. We also provide a light tea for the children, which is included in the price.

The ASHBOURNE club collects children from the following schools:
Parkside, St. Oswalds, Hilltop and Clifton

The BELPER club collects children from:
St. John’s, Long Row, Pottery, Holbrook and Strutts schools.
HOLIDAY CLUBS
We run holiday clubs during all school holidays, from 7.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. We also offer a 'short' day, from 8.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m, which provides more flexibility for some parents, who may work shift patterns or who work part time.

The activities offered during the holiday club sessions are carefully planned, to provide a balance between free play and organised play. We try to create a holiday atmosphere, while still providing some structure to the day.
Each week, at least one local trip is organised, and during the summer holidays, several trips are planned, some of which are a bit further a field.
Sometimes, our two clubs join up for trips or activity days, and this gives children the opportunity to socialise with another group of children and make new friends.

We sometimes have visiting arts groups or interesting visitors to come and spend some time with the children. Our holiday club activities are normally based around a theme or project, which gives a focus for the children, and enables us to plan appropriate trips and outings.

AIMING HIGH
The Ashbourne and Belper clubs have both achieved an 'Aiming High' award (a government sponsored quality assurance award), which recognises the high quality of care and education offered at our clubs.
