The creative work which the children do at nursery often develops out of their individual interests. For example, a child who has found a ladybird in the garden may want to do a painting of the ladybird, to represent what s/he has discovered.
Younger children are often fascinated by their ability to make marks in wet sand or in cornflour mixed with water.
Our staff provide a wide range of creative and mark making opportunities for the children, which are usually based around the children’s own interests. We also introduce creative ideas linked to the seasons or to local community events, which the children may be involved in.
