4-12 After School Club

Our ‘School’s Out’ clubs cater for children who have started full or part time school, up to the first year of secondary school.

We run breakfast clubs and after-school clubs during term times from our two branches in Ashbourne and Belper in Derbyshire, and during all school holidays, we run full day childcare, from 7.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

We also offer a ‘short’ day of childcare, from 8.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. Our holiday club activities are planned in advance, and are often based around a project or theme, as well

as incorporating trips and visits to places of interest.

During term time our breakfast clubs are also open from 7.30 am to 8.30 am, and provide children with breakfast (if required) and a variety of activities before our staff take them to school in one of our registered people carriers.

How it Works

Multiple Pencils

The after-school clubs run during term time from 3.30 pm to 6.00 pm every weekday during term time.

Our staff collect children from local schools and take them back to the clubs, where they can enjoy a range of indoor and outdoor activities until they are collected by their parents or carers.

The children are able to use our computers, and we also provide creative activities, table games, floor games and more vigorous play outside. A two-course tea is also included in the price.

Our Ashbourne ‘Schools Out’ club collects children from the following schools: Parkside, Hilltop and Clifton, while our Belper club collects from St John’s, Long Row, Pottery, Holbrook and Strutt’s schools. All of the staff at the day nurseries, playgroup and after-school clubs are Police and CRB checked and, from this year, any new staff will be required to register with the new ISA (Independent Safeguarding Authority).
